The Servants Quarter
The former servants quarter was the human engine that powered the estate in its prime, a three-tiered building set around a central courtyard linked to the Grand House. For many years it was left abandoned and open to the elements of time and nature, it formally hosted a collection of sleeping quarters for the household staff, workshops, kitchens and washrooms, even a brew house. It was the nerve centre of the estate.
The Servant’s Quarter has now been rescued and transformed into seven individually crafted two and three storey town houses, and two lower-level apartments set within the very heart of the Moreby Hall complex.
These homes have been painstakingly created to retain all the original features, from brick vaulted ceilings to restored leaded windows and doors, timber beams and the original cooking stoves.
